Yesterday's workout didn't go quite as planned. I was delayed at the dentist office (they were running behind) so I was unable to do Ripped in 30. Instead I walked for an hour. It was exercise and I burned some calories so despite not doing all of what I wanted, I'm happy.
Today's agenda is Ripped in 30 (when I'm done with this post), and then walking the dogs later. I will most likely wait until after dinner, when it's cooled down a little. That way the dogs can enjoy the walk with me. I usually only walk them for like half an hour because they get so worn out, so I may try to fit something else into the plan today. I do need to do some laundry and cleaning though, so we'll see how far I get. I might hop on the stationary bike and see if I can do half an hour of biking. That's not a huge calorie burner, but it will be a little extra activity.
Dinner will be healthy tonight - I'm actually looking forward to it. I'm planning on turkey burgers on the grill and a nice, cool, refreshing salad. It sounds so yummy that I'd like to eat now! I'll most likely have some steamed veggies with it, or maybe some watermelon as "dessert" or something. I'm not quite sure yet, but one of the two (or maybe both?) will be included.
As for tomorrow - I'm planning to do something in the morning and hopefully in the afternoon too. Even if I just take two walks, I'll be a happy camper. I've missed exercise SO much. At first I was kind of bummed to have to walk and not do any running, but I'm okay with it now. I'm really taking time to enjoy the walks - pushing myself as much as I can while making sure I don't over-do it. So far it's working well. It's only been a few days and I already feel better (even with having a few margaritas and Mexican food last night!).
I was super happy to be able to wear a pair of pants I was wearing before surgery. They're a little stretchy so that may have something to do with it, but they went right on. I haven't tried jeans or other pants yet, but I'm hoping that this means the swelling has gone down enough that I can get back into my regular pants. Even my "fat" jeans were tight a week ago, so I'll be happy if those fit! I suppose I should try some on tonight...Just to see. My priority is cleaning though, so I'll be doing that before playing around with clothes (although I do have some to put away - blah).
I'm excited for the weekend... A long-time friend is getting married up North so my parents, boyfriend, and I will be going up for that wedding on Saturday. We're coming home on Sunday and my hope is that my Mom and I can con the guys into stopping at a winery or two on the way home. My supply could use a boost and the wine tastings are SO much fun! They're just sample sizes, so I'm sure we can convince the guys to give us a few minutes at a few wineries! There are two I'd like to stop by for sure so I'll be happy with those.
Well, I suppose I need to go do Ripped in 30 so that I can start cleaning and make dinner.
